Handy Hands III - Revengance
“Here is the third glove painting. I feel that it has evolved from the first two in that the face has changed, the background is a wood board, and the glove is in the reverse direction of the first two. I think that it is really the next step, a true metamorphosis of the treatment of the subject and the medium. This series, this last one in particular, have been become almost prophetic given the current climate of the world. The pandemic has given these pieces an un-intentional call back to the world we live in currently with the wide spread fear of the COVID-19 virus. The gloves now become very medical in feeling and act as an omen of death and disease. Set even more unsettling by the distorted and harrowing faces painted on the gloves. True works of art, and masterpieces of their time.” - Harold G. Love, art reviewer for the Chicago Fake Times
